Our journey begins at the historic Khor Virap Monastery, located on the Armenian-Turkish border, a site deeply connected to Armenia’s adoption of Christianity. Next, we head to the village of Areni, where we will explore the famous Areni-1 Cave, home to the world’s oldest known winery and leather shoe. Afterward, prepare to be amazed by the stunning views of Noravank Monastery, set against the backdrop of striking red cliffs. From there, we will visit Areni Wine Winery, where you’ll enjoy a guided wine tasting and experience a traditional local lunch at the winery. Our next stop will be at Lake Sevan, where we’ll visit the picturesque Sevanavank Monastery situated on the peninsula. Afterward, we’ll take a break for coffee at the Tsovagyugh food court, where you can also grab lunch if you prefer; otherwise, we’ll enjoy lunch in Dilijan.

Continuing our journey, we’ll head to Dilijan, often referred to as Armenian Switzerland, to soak in the beauty of its lush forests and mountains. We’ll wander down the charming Old Sharambeyan Street, followed by a visit to Haghartsin Monastery. For the more adventurous, there’s an option to hike to Matosavank Monastery in the forest of Dilijan National Park, a 3 km trail that takes approximately 2 hours.

We’ll start our day early with a journey to Gyumri city. On the way, we’ll stop at Saghmosavank to explore its stunning surroundings and admire the beauty of the Qasakh Gorge. Upon arriving in Gyumri, we’ll embark on a two-hour walking city tour, which will include a visit to the Gyumri Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life. Before the tour, we’ll enjoy lunch at a popular fishery in Gyumri, and later, we’ll stop at another location to sample some traditional pastries.

After our time in Gyumri, we’ll make our way back, stopping at Armenia’s largest wine factory, the Armenia Wine Factory.
